Carrefour Opens Second India Store in Ghaziabad, Expands NCR Retail Presence

Carrefour has opened its second India store at ANSA City Centre in Ghaziabad after its Greater Noida debut. The 2,000-square-metre outlet strengthens its NCR presence as Apparel Group plans further expansion across India.

Apparel Group has opened Carrefour’s second store in India at ANSA City Centre, Ghaziabad, marking a further step in the international retailer’s expansion across the Indian market. The opening follows the launch of Carrefour’s first flagship store at H&S Mall (Boulevard Walk), Greater Noida West, and strengthens the partnership between Apparel Group and Carrefour in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The new store expands Carrefour’s presence in a market where rising consumer aspirations, rapid urbanisation and demand for organised retail experiences are shaping the sector. Through the partnership, Apparel Group aims to combine Carrefour’s international retail expertise and extensive product range with its understanding of Indian consumers, operational capabilities and local market knowledge.

Spread across 2,000 square meters, the Ghaziabad store offers a range of products tailored to local shopping preferences. Customers can purchase fresh produce, daily bakery items, groceries, household essentials, personal care products and other everyday necessities. The assortment includes international brands alongside locally sourced products, catering to the varied requirements of Indian households.

The opening also advances Apparel Group’s long-term ambition to develop a scalable retail platform across India. Building on its Greater Noida launch, the Group plans to expand Carrefour’s presence progressively into key markets nationwide, supported by domestic sourcing networks, modern logistics infrastructure and localised supply chain capabilities.

Ved said the Ghaziabad opening strengthens the company’s presence across the NCR and advances its vision of establishing Carrefour as a trusted retail destination for households across India.

Patrick Lasfargues, Executive Director – International Partnership at Carrefour, said the opening of the second store marked an important stage in the retailer’s development in India. Following the launch of its first flagship outlet in Greater Noida, the expansion into Ghaziabad would allow Carrefour to serve a broader consumer base across the NCR. He said the company looked forward to continuing its expansion journey in India.

The partnership will also focus on strengthening relationships with domestic suppliers, expanding local sourcing capabilities and developing an integrated omnichannel retail ecosystem. With support from technology, modern logistics infrastructure and strategic partnerships, Apparel Group and Carrefour aim to connect physical retail with changing consumer expectations while creating long-term value across India’s retail and supply chain sectors.

With its second store now operating in Ghaziabad, Carrefour is continuing to build its presence in India through a strategy that combines international retail expertise, locally relevant product offerings and everyday value. The planned expansion into additional markets will form the next phase of the partnership’s nationwide growth ambitions.
